Sobre o processo e a organização do trabalho de psicólogos da atenção básica: entre o prazer e o sofrimento

The following study has the main objective to analyze the work process and organization of basic attention psychologist of Uberlandia county in MG. In consequence the specific objectives are: 1) characterize the professional and sociodemographic profile; 2) characterize the environment and work conditions; 3) identify aspects that create welfare and suffering at work; 4) identify the collective defensive strategies used by workers. It is a qualitative exploratory research in the health worker’s field, the results were subject of thematic content analyzes and related to theoretical category of psych suffering from Christophe Dejours. To collect field data, were applied sociodemographic and professional questionnaire, participant-observations, semi structured interview and focal group. Looking at participant-observations and interviews was possible to create six thematic axes: work journey; environment and work conditions; process and work organization; relationship at work; welfare and suffering at work; defensive strategies. With the data found on the focus group, was possible to define three thematic axes: feelings at work; satisfaction and dissatisfaction at work; desire for change. The analyze of environment and work conditions, as well as process and work organization demonstrate that psychologists are subject to many risks, it can lead to loss of health, in special, to psychic suffering and mental wear. Despite this, these workers are affectionately attached to work, which can be a source of sublimation, providing welfare and satisfaction. This research proposes to reorganize psychologist work process in Basic Attention healthcare.
