A criança e o outro no contemporâneo: considerações acerca do simbólico, imaginário e real

This research deals with the condition of the child who lives in this time, in which the Other undergoes mutations, in a special way, resulting from the rise of the discourses of capitalism and science. Among the possible paths for this question, the perspective of the three psychic registers, the Symbolic, the Imaginary and the Real, was chosen, in an attempt to highlight the part of each of them in the child's suffering. It was inferred that the current discourses make the Symbolic vacillate and put jouissance in the first place. What stands out from them are imperatives of jouissance, which would take place through objects produced by science and sold by the market. In the relationship between subjects and objects, the dimension of otherness in its facets is separated. In addition, it has been circulating ideals of total freedom and happiness that demand an unattainable autonomy from the subject, even more so for the child. With the reiterated questioning of the Symbolic order, which until then had been a guide for the subjects, the Imaginary and the image enter the scene, causing consequences for the subject-child. With that, the Real loses part of its contour and appears wide open, returning in the body. The child suffers these effects that directly affect their position in the Other.
