Cosmetics have been present in the world since the beginning of society. Evidence shows that the application of cosmetics for personal hygiene and beautification dates back to 4000 BC. Currently, to soften the natural effects of the passage of time, excessive exposure to the sun and balance changes in lifestyle, consumers are looking for even more improvement in cosmetic formulations, which better meet their needs. Nutricosmetics are the latest products on the cosmetics market. Little is divulged and little is known about them, both from a clinical point of view, as well as from the development, production and innovation process in this area. The main benefits attributed to this segment of beauty products are sun protection, hydration, anti-acne and depigmenting action. One of the main components of these products are vitamins, which are mainly used for their antioxidant effect, in addition to having other benefits. Among them, the most used as antioxidants in nutricosmetics are vitamin A, C and E. They are not synthesized by the human body, but essential for its perfect functioning, so they need to be incorporated through an external source. Thus, when carrying out the present study, we seek to explore the concept and composition of Nutricosmetics, and thus, answer some questions that are not yet explored, such as the legal terms associated with nutricosmetics, the national and world market, the composition, the benefits and effectiveness of using vitamins. The research was carried out through books, publications in magazines and periodicals. The publication date was not used as a criterion for excluding an article.
