Resumo: This research aimed to stimulate reflection on the use of the cell phone in the classroom, a topic discussed and approached by pedagogical instances. The research was carried out with students of the Technical Courses Integrated to High School in Agriculture, Food, Environment and Maintenance and Support in Informatics of the Federal Institute of Education, Science Technology, located in Uberlândia, Minas Gerais. The questions that guided the research were: Does the technology of the present times still appear as a challenge for education? In the view of students, do teachers understand that this new technology of cell phones is already part of the reality in the classroom? What are the difficulties and needs encountered in education to deal with the inclusion of the cellular as a device of the learning processes? Starting from an essay and study on cartography, these questions elaborated from the theoretical framework and the conviviality with high school students in the school space delimit the objectives of the research in order to understand how the use of the cell phone in the classroom as amplifier of the universe of high school students. It is recognized that it is important to address the technological issue in school settings because of the social and learning change it has caused. However, the legal instances manifest themselves, with decisions that disregard the technological importance. However, the pedagogical practices in the classroom exceed the strict limits of the school institution, generating broad possibilities of approach, of the pedagogical concepts, that generate in the classroom important re-significances. Far from indicating answers, the research presents cartography that helps open possibilities and discussions about the doubts that still arise regarding the use of this multimedia resource in the educational space, since this is already part of the daily life of the students. In order to stimulate the discussions and provide new knowledge about the processes that involve the questioning and debates in the classroom space, we tried to develop the discussions on the subject, in own methodological procedures in which it was possible to discuss ways to achieve the educational objectives, since its construction is done step by step, with the purpose of describing, discussing and mainly search the collective all the experience lived in the scope of research in education. A pesquisa foi realizada com discentes dos cursos Técnicos Integrados ao Ensino Médio em Agropecuária, Alimentos, Meio Ambiente e Manutenção e Suporte em Informática do Instituto Federal de Educação, Ciência Tecnologia, localizado em Uberlândia, Minas Gerais. Os questionamentos que orientaram a investigação foram: A tecnologia dos tempos atuais ainda aparece como um desafio para a educação? Na visão dos alunos, os professores entendem que esta nova tecnologia dos celulares já faz parte da realidade em sala de aula Quais são as dificuldades e necessidades encontradas na educação para lidar com a inclusão do celular enquanto dispositivo dos processos de aprendizagem? Partindo de um ensaio e estudo sobre a cartografia, estas perguntas elaboradas a partir do referencial teórico e do convívio com jovens do ensino médio no espaço escolar delimitam os objetivos da pesquisa a fim de entender como acontece o uso do celular em sala de aula enquanto amplificador do universo dos estudantes do ensino médio. Reconhece-se a importância de assomar a questão tecnológica nos ambientes escolares devido à mudança social e de aprendizagem que esta tem causado. No entanto, as instâncias legais se manifestam, com decisões que desconsideram a importância tecnológica. Entretanto, as práticas pedagógicas na sala de aula ultrapassam os limites estritos da instituição escolar, gerando possibilidades amplas de abordagem, dos conceitos pedagógicos, que geram na sala de aula ressignificações importantes. Longe de indicar respostas, a pesquisa nos apresenta a cartografia que auxilia na abertura de possibilidades e discussões sobre as dúvidas que ainda surgem quanto à utilização deste recurso multimídia no espaço educativo, visto que este já faz parte da vida cotidiana dos alunos. Com o objetivo de incitar as discussões e propiciar novos conhecimentos acerca dos processos que envolvem os questionamentos e os debates no espaço da sala de aula, buscou-se desenvolver as discussões sobre a temática, em procedimentos metodológicos próprios nos quais se possibilitou a discussão de caminhos para se atingir os objetivos educacionais, visto que sua construção é feita passo a passo, com a finalidade de descrever, discutir e principalmente coletivizar toda a experiência vivenciada no âmbito da pesquisa em educação.
