Simbologia representativa dos idosos: necessidade de adequação para eficácia ao tratamento digno

This monograph entitled "Elderly Representative Symbology: adequacy needs for humane treatment efficiency" aimed to make a historical confirmation on how the elderly were treated in the distant past and how the change happened according to their economic value, making the society alert to the conditions they were being subjected, then seeking this change on the whole planet, with the institution of human rights policies devoted to promote dignity of this population. Established that Brazil has been standardized to promote elderly dignity, specially after the enactement of the 1988 Federal Constitution, it was verified that the pictogram that shows the elderly is aligned with the fundamental rights of their image protection, since the current one does not represent the senior citizens reality in the country. In possession of this information, an analysis was made based on the movements (social and political) which look for the change, in order to institute through legislation, the effective symbology change.
