Resumo: This article analyzes the idea of family together with the importance of women's achievements throughout the social evolution and how the change in the role of women affected the conception, formation and structuring of the family, as well as kinship relationships. Initially with observations about the history and, soon after, added to the legal instruments that underwent significant changes or were the target of them, it was concluded how much the changes of women in society have influenced family law.
