A good planning and control of the construction and, consequently, a detailed budget are essentials for the success of an enterprise. Therefore, this article reinforces the importance of these tools for the triumph of the construction, in addition to presenting details of the budgeting of a building in the city of Uberlandia-MG. With in-depth knowledge of SINAPI, an analytical budget was prepared with the bases for 2020 and 2022, so that it was possible to evaluate the results and compare them with the real costs budgeted by the base construction company. Thereby, it was possible to conclude that SINAPI presented discrepant prices for the materials when compared to the real values budgeted, but presented values consistent with the reality when it comes to labor. Still, it was possible to notice the influence of COVID-19 on the high prices of materials, making the total costs of budgets differ significantly.
