The University, promoter of teaching, research and extension, reflects directly on the training of professionals and citizens. In this way the dissemination of the work performed is of paramount importance to highlight the contributive role of these educational institutions towards society. The Graduate Course in Veterinary Medicine, located in the city of Uberlândia-MG, is one of 101 undergraduate courses offered by the Federal University of Uberlândia (UFU), an institution linked to the Ministry of Education (MEC). Moreover, it has local and national relevance, training professionals who contribute to the development of society. This Work of Conclusion of Course had as objective to promote actions of scientific spreading, through the practice of the scientific journalism, covering the activities of teaching, research and extension of the course of Veterinary Medicine of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of the Federal University of Uberlândia, highlighting the performance of the teachers, students, technical-administrative and, above all, coordination of course. The intention was to disseminate to the internal and external community the activities carried out within the scope of the course. Actions involving teaching, research and extension, including academic events, projects, entities and other relevant facts were expressed through publications of journalistic texts and images. The institutional site of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of the Federal University of Uberlândia contemplated the link to post the journalistic texts. The social networks, Facebook and Instagram were important tools for sharing the materials. As research methods, a literature review and statistical analysis of access to the digital pages were carried out, which housed the journalistic coverage. For the execution of the project there was the preparation of journalistic guidelines addressing activities developed under the Veterinary Medicine course of the Federal University of Uberlândia. From the guidelines produced were made coverage of events, production of journalistic texts and posting on the site, with sharing by social networks. Subsequently, statistical analyses of the site's access data, Facebook and Instagram were carried out, and it was possible to characterize the profile of internet users who accessed the content produced.
