Química e mitologia afro-brasileira: concepções de um grupo de licenciandos em química de residência pedagógica sobre a temática das pimentas

The present work has the objective of analyzing the conceptions of a group of scholarship hold-ers of the Residency Pedagogical Program of the Federal University of Uberlândia Pontal cam-pus, graduates in Chemistry, about the importance of the subject treated by Law 10.639 / 03 from a perspective of the work with contents using afro-brazilian and african religions and my-thology. To this end, the group's understandings about the Law and the theme dealt with the importance of working such a perspective for training as future professionals of education, what their relevance to the teaching of Chemistry and how they find it convenient to use afro-brazil-ian and african religions and mythology in education. For this, the group was initially sent the book "Cordial Content: Humanized Chemistry for a School without Gag" to read the chapter entitled "Chemistry of Peppers by the Paths of Exu". Subsequently an interview was conducted, seeking approximations with the methodology of the Focal Group to analyze the conceptions of the group of graduates in Chemistry of the Residence Pedagogic Program. For the analysis, we sought a basis on the relationship between the afro-brazilian religions and teaching of Chem-istry starting from a review of papers and articles that show the use of these tools in the classes of high school; observation than the official teacher training documents, demonstrating that such an approach is difficult to understand on the part of the school community as a whole due to prejudice and fear of retaliation by school administrations and guidance for lessons of Chem-istry of secondary education bring of importance of if work the racial ethnic relations in the classes of Basic Education. The results show lack of preparation of the future teachers analyzed for the work of chemical contents from the context of this perspective. In addition, the analyzes demonstrate the importance of initial and continuing teacher training for the work within Chem-istry, in order to comply with Law 10.639 / 03.
