Resumo: This dissertation, presented to the Graduate Program in Arts of the Federal University of Uberlândia, aims to analyze the architecture of Uberlândia, a city that has developmental characteristics, given its continuous growth. Its remarkable architectural production was realized mainly after Second World War, when the modern movement was materialized through new technologies and processes. The case study started from a personal and memorial journey that identified plastic urban references that can be interpreted as fixed and urban landmarks of the city, in order to establish a dialogue between art and architecture. The works chosen to be analyse were Lina Bo Bardi's Divine Holy Spirit Cerrado Church; the Presidente Castelo Branco bus station designed by Fernando Graça, Flávio Almada and Ivan Cupertino Rodrigues; and César Barney's Chams Building.

O estudo de caso partiu de um percurso pessoal e memorial que identificou referências urbanas com caráter plástico próprio, que pudessem ser interpretadas como fixos e marcos urbanos implantadas na cidade, de modo a estabelecer um diálogo entre arte e arquitetura. As obras escolhidas foram: Igreja Divino Espírito Santo do Cerrado, Lina Bo Bardi; Terminal Rodoviário Presidente Castelo Branco, Fernando Graça, Flávio Almada e Ivan Cupertino Rodrigues e o Edifício Chams, César Barney.
