Terapia do esquema no Brasil: uma revisão de literatura

Schema Therapy was created in 1990 by Jeffrey Young to treat patients with personality disorders or more severe and entrenched disorders, clinical cases where Cognitive Therapy proved ineffective. The aim of this study is to group, synthesize and map the national scientific production on Schema Therapy in the last five years through an integrative literature review. References were located at Scielo Brasil, CAPES and PePSIC. To be eligible, the research needed to be in the form of a scientific article, have been published in national journals, in Portuguese, and between the years 2016 to 2021. Twenty publications were found that matched the selection criteria, which were analyzed from 9 established categories: periodical, year of publication, sample, instruments, research location, data treatment, objectives and main results. It was observed that most research was concentrated in the same journal, the "Revista Brasileira de Terapias Cognitivas", with the highest peak of research in 2018, in the states of Minas Gerais and Rio Grande do Sul, with samples ranging from 1 to 525, most of the researches were quantitative, the most used instrument was the Young Schemas Inventory and there was a great variety of objectives and results among the 20 articles, however, the objectives and results of correlations between Early maladaptive schemas and the studied theme are highlighted by the articles analyzed.
