There are several advantages in which an effective and quality public transport system can bring about, for example, the increase of users along with their satisfaction, reduction of the private vehicles number in the roads, which combines the greenhouse gases minimization. This paper aims to analyze the road network of the academic community and verify the feasibility of a rate system based on the manual of the Executive Group for the Integration of Transport Policy (GEIPOT, 1996). The methodology for analysis consists of performing up/down and satisfaction surveys on the current fleet buses (050 and intercamp 01 and 02), thematic maps from the students addresses of the Monte Carmelo Campus (MG) and data on the bus 050 cost which is maintained by the City Hall. The calculations realization made it possible to obtain a transportation system of the UFU academic community of Monte Carmelo, which will serve its users with safety and efficiency. The value of the rate obtained is a way to keep the transportation system under study, and interrupt as it currently is.
