Resumo: This research investigates if Literary Journalism, with its emancipatory and humanizing proposal of its characters, is capable of producing new meanings about the identity of LGBT subjects and, as a consequence, acting positively in the anti-LGBTphobia fight. For that, it is taken as a sample of the journalistic profile of a transvestite, "Lohanne - Na lan house das maravilhas", chapter of the book "Os Sertões", of the Brazilian journalist Fabiana Moraes. As a methodology, we use a Discourse Analysis from Michel Foucault's thinking, mainly, on the perception that the subjectivity of the subject is constituted in and by the discourse. Instead to the hypothesis raised, it is observed that the text analyzed was not totally effective in breaking down stereotypes regarding the transvestite.

Utiliza-se, enquanto metodologia, a Análise do Discurso de linha francesa a partir do pensamento de Michel Foucault, principalmente, da percepção de que a subjetividade do sujeito é constituída no e pelo discurso.
