Resumo: | Considering the scenario of literacy, the present study was based on the importance of teaching in the first years of the child’s life, and it is of fundamental importance that playful and stimulating materials are present at this stage of learning. In this way, the focus of the work was to contribute in an interdisciplinary way, between the areas of editorial design and Montessori pedagogy, with the construction of a didactic material that could enrich and assist in the development of children. Thus, a collection of three books-object, called by day-to-day collection, was developed in which it was idealized for the children’s target audience of 3 to 6 years. The collection follows the methodological assumptions of Montessori teaching, which understands this teaching process as a daily lesson for children and therefore being used in this study as a didactic content that will allow the development of graphic design for the pieces to be created. During the course of the work, these design solutions were implemented and improved, so that the books-object could be tested and analyzed through a field research in the target nuclei, in which their qualities were proven in relation to the final planned functionthus being a good quality teaching material that supports literacy, demonstrating in this way that it could be manufactured and used successfully. Still as a result, the object books underwent an economic feasibility study, in which it was solved through its insertions in Open Design platforms, with the intention of being more accessible than the didactic books found in the market. In conclusion, the importance of this typology of books, necessary in the daily life of children’s education, in the face of the help of editorial design, can become even more interesting in terms of visual, structural and organizational composition, enriching the way children receive and learn information in their educational developments. |

Dessa maneira, o foco do trabalho foi contribuir de forma interdisciplinar, entre as áreas do design editorial e da pedagogia montessoriana, com a construção de um material didático que pudesse enriquecer e auxiliar no desenvolvimento infantil. Assim, foi elaborada uma coleção de três livros-objeto, denominada por coleção dia-a-dia, na qual foi idealizada para o público-alvo infantil de 3 a 6 anos. O conjunto de livros segue as premissas metodológicas do ensino pedagógico Montessoriano, que entende este processo de ensino como uma lição cotidiana para as crianças, sendo viável a aplicação do conteúdo didático necessário para o desenvolvimento do design gráfico para as peças a serem criadas. Ao decorrer do trabalho essas soluções em design foram implantadas e aperfeiçoadas, fazendo com que os livros-objeto pudessem ser testados e analisados através de uma pesquisa em campo nos núcleos-alvo, nos quais foram provados suas qualidades em relação a função final planejada, sendo assim, um material didático de boa qualidade que dá suporte para a alfabetização, demonstrando desta maneira que poderia ser fabricado e utilizado com sucesso. Ainda como resultado, a coleção passou por um estudo de viabilidade economica, no qual foi resolvido através de suas inserções em plataformas de Open Design, com o intuito de ser mais acessível do que os livros didático encontrados no mercado.
