The transformations in the capitalist mode of production triggered, among other factors, the emergence of informational capitalism and the extension of social relations to cyberspace. Be connected is one of the emerging needs of the modern subject, given that online interactions have configured possibilities of immersion in the job market, access to professional formation, constitution of interpersonal relationships, space for economic activities, among other practices of various kinds. The school institutions, in turn, are also involved in the scope of informational transformations, either by initiative of the school, or by a demand of the student. Recognizing the recent movement to expand access to Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) and the construction of new forms of learning mediated by technical artifacts, we are interested in understanding how the relationships between regular high school students and educational processes were established in the context of crisis arising from the pandemic of the New Coronavirus Sars-CoV-2. From the application of quantitative questionnaires, we aimed to understand how remote activities occurred during 2021, in addition to quantifying access to ICT that young people have the observed reality. Our analysis unit is a state school located in the urban area of Itacarambi - MG. To understand the dynamics that involve this social group and the educational processes mediated by ICT we will dialogue with the sociological productions that approach about youth and technologies. The adoption of quantitative methodologies allowed us to measure the access to ICT available to high school students in the urban area of Itacarambi, quantifying the possession of technical artifacts, access to the internet and the direction of their use for educational purposes, so that, based on the interrelationship between methodological and theoretical elements, some considerations are possible. The social and biocultural data of high school youth in Itacarambi reveal to us a group with a predominance of self-declared browns, with gender parity, and with internet access for 73% of them. This is a riverside youth in a gradual process of computerization for whom the social representation of the educational institution is associated with the possibility of entering the job market and accessing Higher Education.
