The artificial intelligence and the efficiency in the public administration

Resumo: The inclusion of efficiency among the principles governing the Public Administration represented the consecration of the specific duty of the public administrator to carry out his duties with promptness, perfection, and professional performance. However, factors such as functional deficits and financial resources prevent the public manager from making administrative efficiency consolidate and should seek alternatives to overcome such deficiencies. In view of this, the work-orientation problem is developed, which consists in analysing how the use of Artificial Intelligence can contribute to the effectiveness of the principle of efficiency in Public Administration. Initially, the principle of efficiency of Public Administration will be analysed. Next, considerations will be woven about Artificial Intelligence. Finally, we will study some cases in which Artificial Intelligence is being used by public agencies, to prove the hypothesis, that is, that the use of artificial intelligence is an important mechanism for the embodiment of administrative efficiency.

Contudo, fatores como deficit funcional e de recursos financeiros impedem que o gestor público consolide a eficiência administrativa, fazendo-o buscar alternativas para suprir tais deficiências. Diante disso, desenvolve-se a problemática orientadora do trabalho, que consiste em analisar como o uso da Inteligência Artificial pode contribuir para a efetivação do princípio da eficiência na Administração Pública.
