Resumo: The present research had the general objective of investigating the sudden routine change imposed by COVID-19 on the MSEs assisted by SEBRAE's ALI Project. Through quantitative analysis it was possible to conclude that the surveyed companies that were able to resume their turnover did not have significant advances in the dimensions of operation management and marketing, showing how companies renounce advances and new practices in detriment of short-term revenue gains.  The research also corroborates the idea that MSEs still need a lot of dedication and openness for the real implementation of new cultures and digital solutions.
