Adolescents in conflict with the law deprived of liberty in a unit in the Federal District: a proposal for intervention in mental health care

Adolescence is characterized as a historical-cultural process, in which human development is influenced by several factors that cross biological, psychic, cultural and social issues. This scientific production had, as its main objective, thinking about the socio-educational space as a zone for recognizing the self and discovering autonomy, through therapeutic encounters. This is an experience report on the process of planning, building and implementing interventions on mental health care with adolescents in conflict with the law, developed at the Recanto das Emas Inpatient Unit (UNIRE). In total, 11 meetings were planned, with the participation of 16 male adolescents who were admitted to the unit. It was observed that the meetings held can be considered a mental health care proposal for adolescents who are in conflict with the law and deprived of liberty in the Federal District.
