Extension in times of a pandemic: the lives of the Cultura Plural project and the construction of dialogues about culture

This work reports the experience of an extension action developed by the Cultura Plural project, of the Journalism Course at the State University of Ponta Grossa, which consisted of conducting a series of live interviews with artists and cultural managers from Ponta Grossa. The series of dialogues “Ao Vivo do Cultura Plural” is a space for debate on cultural actions, productions and policies that became an alternative for the insertion of teachers and students in the area of culture during the years 2020 and 2021, in the midst of the pandemic of Covid-19. During the period, Cultura Plural broadcast 25 lives with live interviews available on Facebook and Instagram of the project. The initiative added knowledge and experience to students about journalistic production in social media and, above all, provided contact with the field of culture and dialogue with social agents who were looking for alternative ways to survive through art in a context of crisis.
