Resumo: The qualitative research carried out in 2020 was based on the COVID-19 pandemic, a period in which remote teaching was a measure adopted for the continuity of extension activities. This work aimed to understand how the extension projects of the Faculty of Education of Itapipoca (FACEDI) developed during the pandemic period. In this work, we sought to portray the pandemic scenario, specifying the difficulties faced by students and professors of the public university to adapt to the remote environment. The results and discussions describe the data collected by the questionnaire applied to the coordinators. Finally, the extension activities were carried out through the strategic work of the coordinating professors with the academic community. For the theoretical foundation we used the authors: Freire (1996), Gomez (1999), Joye, Moreira and Rocha (2020), Silva, Teixeira and Rodrigues (2016), Minayo (1994), Farias; Pimentel (2011).

Neste trabalho objetivou-se compreender como os projetos de extensão da Faculdade de Educação de Itapipoca (FACEDI) se desenvolveram no período da pandemia. Neste trabalho buscou-se retratar o cenário da pandemia especificando as dificuldades enfrentadas por alunos e professores da universidade pública para adaptar-se ao meio remoto. Nos resultados e discussões descrevem-se os dados produzidos pelo questionário aplicado aos coordenadores dos projetos na referida instituição. Por fim, as atividades de extensão foram desempenhadas por meio do trabalho estratégico dos professores coordenadores junto à comunidade acadêmica.
