Entretanto, a composi??o da fruta pode ser alterada de acordo com o local de cultivo, o manejo dos pomares, a ?poca de colheita e o manuseio p?s-colheita. Em rela??o ao manejo dos pomares, t?m-se observado varia??es pelo fato de as esp?cies de pitaia serem consideradas r?sticas, capazes de tolerar condi??es adversas de baixa disponibilidade de ?gua e nutrientes, e, principalmente, por falta de informa??es sobre a aduba??o, devido ao fato de o cultivo ser recente no Brasil. Dessa forma, a pesquisa foi realizada com o objetivo de avaliar a qualidade, a composi??o centesimal e a exporta??o de nutrientes em frutas das esp?cies Hylocereus undatus e Hylocereus polyrhizus, fertilizadas com diferentes doses de pot?ssio. As an?lises foram realizadas em frutas maduras, colhidas em duas safras de um pomar localizado em Couto de Magalh?es de Minas, Brasil. A regi?o est? situada a 726 m de altitude, apresenta clima Aw, classificado como tropical de altitude, com temperatura m?dia anual de 21,5 ?C. O solo da ?rea de cultivo ? do tipo Latossolo Amarelo-distr?fico, com 60% de areia, 27% de argila, 13% de silte e 0,3% de mat?ria org?nica. A aduba??o pot?ssica foi realizada em doses de 0; 50; 100 e 200 g de K2O por planta. A aduba??o complementar foi realizada com N 100 g por planta e, na ?poca do plantio, foi realizada a calagem para elevar a satura??o por bases para 60% e 50 g P e 10 L de esterco bovino foram incorporados ao solo. Os resultados evidenciaram que, com o manejo da aduba??o pot?ssica, as frutas produzidas pelas esp?cies de pitaia alcan?am maiores tamanhos e melhor sabor. A composi??o centesimal das frutas ? alterada com o manejo da aduba??o dos pomares. As frutas produzidas por plantas com maior disponibilidade de K2O apresentam maiores teores de mat?ria seca, fibras, cinzas carboidratos e valor energ?tico, e menor teor de umidade, possibilitando a conserva??o por mais tempo se for armazenada adequadamente. O K foi o nutriente mais exportado pelas duas esp?cies de pitaia, seguido pelo N, P, Ca e Mg. Em rela??o aos micronutrientes, o mais exportado foi o Mn, seguido por Fe, Cu, Zn e B. Pomares de pitaia que alcan?am altas produtividades necessitam de maior quantidade de nutrientes, devido ? maior exporta??o pelas frutas. Pomares que s?o fertilizados com pot?ssio produzem frutas com melhor composi??o, maior quantidade de nutrientes e melhor qualidade final, aumentando a aceita??o por parte dos consumidores, al?m de alcan?ar melhor classifica??o de tamanho e melhores pre?os na comercializa??o.Submitted by Jos? However, the composition of the fruit may change according from the place of cultivation, orchard management, harvesting season and postharvest handling. Regarding orchard management, variations have been observed in the fact that the pitaya species are considered rustic, capable of tolerating adverse conditions of low availability of water and nutrients, and mainly because lack information on fertilization, due to the fact that the cultivation is recent in Brazil. Thus, the research was carried out with the objective of evaluating the quality, the centesimal composition and the export of nutrients in fruits of the species Hylocereus undatus and Hylocereus polyrhizus, fertilized with different doses of potassium. The analyzes were performed in mature fruits, harvested in two production cycles, from an orchard located in Couto de Magalh?es de Minas, Brazil. The region is located at 726 m altitude, Aw climate, classified as tropical altitude, with average annual temperature of 21.5 ?C. The soil of the cultivation area is Yellow-dystrophic Latosol, with 60% sand, 27% clay, 13% silt and 0.3% organic matter. Potassium fertilization was performed at doses of 0; 50; 100 and 200 g of K2O per plant. The supplemental fertilization was carried out with N 100 g per plant and at the time of planting the liming was carried out to raise the saturation by bases to 60% and 50 g P and 10 L of bovine manure were incorporated into the soil. The results showed that, with the potassium fertilization, the fruits produced by the pitaya species reach larger sizes and better flavor. The fruits centesimal composition is altered with the management of the fertilization of the orchards. The fruits produced by plants with higher availability of K2O present higher levels of dry matter, fiber, ashes, carbohydrates and energetic value and lower moisture content, allowing conservation for longer if stored properly. K was the nutrient most exported by the two pitaya species, followed by N, P, Ca and Mg in relation to micronutrients, the most exported was Mn, followed by Fe, Cu, Zn and B. Pitaya orchards that reach high yields require a greater quantity of nutrients, due to the greater export by the fruits.
