IFNMG ? Campus Montes Claros. Como objetivos espec?ficos, buscamos analisar dados deste instituto, no Campus Montes Claros, sobre o desempenho dos alunos dos cursos concomitantes e subsequentes na disciplina de matem?tica; identificar as pr?ticas pedag?gicas realizadas no campo da matem?tica e, ainda, fornecer elementos para as pr?ticas a serem adotadas na Educa??o Matem?tica nos cursos t?cnicos concomitantes e subsequentes do IFNMG ? Campus Montes Claros. Para tanto, investigamos diversos aspectos da realidade dos sujeitos envolvidos, contemplando o percurso escolar dos discentes e as experi?ncias vivenciadas por eles e pelos docentes dos cursos t?cnicos. O arcabou?o te?rico ? fundamentado em autores que pesquisam sobre a forma??o docente, como Arroyo (2000), Fiorentini e Nacarato (2005), Lib?neo (2011), N?voa (1995) e Tardif, (2014); D?Ambrosio (1999; 2002; 2006), Fiorentini (2012) e Jaramillo (2003), sobre a Educa??o Matem?tica; Ara?jo e Frigotto (2015), Brand?o (1981), Frigotto (2012), Rehen (2009) e Saviani (2007), sobre a Educa??o Profissional; dentre outros. Os documentos oficiais da Educa??o, como as Diretrizes Curriculares Nacionais para a Educa??o Profissional T?cnica de N?vel M?dio (2012), tamb?m foram fontes importantes de pesquisa. A produ??o do material emp?rico desta pesquisa ? explorat?ria descritiva com abordagem qualitativa, e foi realizada por meio de an?lise documental e de entrevista semiestruturada ? escrita e oral (gravada em ?udio) ? envolvendo discentes e docentes de dois cursos t?cnicos, nas modalidades concomitante e subsequente: T?cnico em Eletrot?cnica, e T?cnico em Seguran?a do Trabalho. Programa de P?s-Gradua??o em Educa??o, Universidade Federal dos Vales do Jequitinhonha e Mucuri, 2019.Considering the importance of Professional and Technological Education from the perspective of the formation of the working citizen, this study aimed to investigate elements that may be related to the performance of students in Mathematics Education at the technical courses, concomitant and subsequent modalities, of Instituto Federal do Norte de Minas Gerais ? IFNMG ? Campus Montes Claros. In order to achieve this aim, it was intended to analyze data from that institute, in Montes Claros Campus, on the performance of the students at the concomitant and subsequent courses in the discipline mathematics; to identify the pedagogical practices performed in the field of mathematics, and to provide elements for practices to be adopted in Mathematics Education at the concomitant and subsequent technical courses of IFNMG ? Campus Montes Claros. The research explored several aspects of the routine of the subjects, contemplating the experiences lived by the students and the professors throughout the technical courses. The theoretical framework is based on authors who have researched about teacher education, such as Arroyo (2000), Fiorentini and Nacarato (2005), Lib?neo (2011), N?voa (1995), and Tardif, (2014); D'Ambrosio (1999; 2002; 2006), Fiorentini (2012) and Jaramillo (2003), about Mathematical Education; Ara?jo and Frigotto (2015), Brand?o (1981), Frigotto (2012), Rehen (2009) and Saviani (2007), about Professional Education; among others. The educational documents, including the National Curriculum Guidelines for Secondary Technical Professional Education (2012), were also important sources for this investigation. The production of the empirical material of this research, whose methodology is exploratory descriptive, was developed through documental analysis and semi-structured written and oral (audio recording) interview, involving students and professors of two technical courses in the concomitant and subsequent modalities: Electrotechnical Technician and Labor Safety Technician. It is expected, from the theoretical framework and the results produced, that this study may contribute to the analysis and discussions on how Mathematics Education takes place, providing elements for the work to be developed regarding pedagogical practices, assessment and curriculum at the concomitant and subsequent modalities of the technical courses of IFNMG ?
