The collection of raw milk in bulk is one of the operations with the biggest impact on the operational costs of dairy companies, and for that the companies are constantly in search of mechanisms to reduce these costs. Optimization of milk collection routes, as well as the location of the expansion tanks are the areas of greatest interest to companies. Due to the importance of the dairy sector in the economy of the region, it was decided to conduct a study that met the needs of small and medium-sized dairy in the specific area of the optimization of vehicles of milk collection routes. In the study were raised geographic location information of dairy and farms, as well as the routes travelled by vehicles. On the other hand were raised the data of fixed costs and actually variables of raw milk collection operation of the company. The routes and information were modeled according to the model proposed by Nogueira et al. (2010) using for that the CPLEX software from IBM, performing the optimization of current routes of dairy, as well as some scenarios (increase and decrease in milk supply, alternative routes, elimination of low spots offer). The results showed a significant decrease in costs after the optimization of the current routes of dairy, the scenarios tested the implementation of alternate routes the best alternative promoted a decreasing in costs of 22,24%. Routes resolution problems with many collection points were evaded doing routes division by sectors. So the conclusion is that the use of whole linear programming generates positive results when are performed scripting works with a reduced number of points, but that is still not the best solution possible.
