Resumo: | This work was carried out aiming to evaluate the influence of nitrogen fertilization and the tanzaniagrass density on the composition, productivity, nutritive value and height of the canopy at the 95% of the luminosity interception. The experiment was conducted at the Departamento de Zootecnia da Universidade Federal de Viçosa from November 2007 through March 2008. The treatments were assigned in a factorial scheme 4 x 3 with four levels of (0, 80, 160 e 320 kg.ha-1) and three different plant densities (9, 25 e 49 plant.m-2). It was used a randomly blocks with as a design. The plants were harvested with 25 cm of height and when the canopy intercepted 95% of the illumination. The height of the canopy height, the time and number between harvest, a production of total dry matter and for harvest, the dry matter of laminae leaf, stem and dead matter, the morphologic composition of produced forage, the relationship laminae:stem and the nutritive value of tanzaniagrass were evaluated. The fertilization plants with 320 kg.ha-1 of N has increased in 96% the total dry matter. The production of dry matter per harvest was influenced by the N levels, showing a positive linear effect whereas the plant density showed a negative linear effect. The dry matter of leaf laminae and the stem showed a positive linear response to nitrogen fertilization. The application de 320 kg.ha-1 of N increased these factors, compared to a non fertilization, in 94 and 166% respectively. The time between harvest for the tanzaniagrass was affected by the nitrogen fertilization and showed a negative linear response with 22 days on average, for the level with 320 kg.ha-1 of N and 43 days without nitrogen fertilization. The treatment with 320 kg.ha-1 of N had five times of harvest whereas the treatment without nitrogen fertilization had three times of harvest. The higher RLS was observed in plants allotted within the 49 plantas.m-2 of density when there was no nitrogen application. The level of PB on the leaf laminae was 8% whereas in the levels 80, 160 and 320 kg.ha-1 of N, the level of PB was 10, 12 and 16% respectively. The NDF decreased 8% approximately between the higher and lower levels of nitrogen used. The percentage of NDF in the stem showed a negative linear response in order to the N levels. The treatment with 320 kg.ha-1 of N has increased the IVDMO of the leaf laminae and of the stem in 24 % whereas, the treatment without nitrogen fertilization increased 12%. The percentage of lignin on leaf from the treatment without nitrogen fertilization was 3,03% and 2,65% for the treatment with 320 kg.ha-1 of N. The tanzaniagrass increase the production when used nitrogen fertilization, so much for the largest production for cutting as for the largest number for cutting. A higher plant densities decrease the cutting height of the tanzaniagrass at the 95% LI and promote largest relationship laminae:stem, in spite of the plant density can´t reduction the affect the time between harvest. The use of N improve the quality of the tanzaniagrass cut with 95% of LI. |
