Resumo: The planting of forests mainly with exotic species has grown every day to meet the need of domestic and foreign market with respect to the growing demand for forest products. And to achieve a desirable level of preservation of the watershed, it is necessary to develop studies aimed at monitoring and analysis of the main components of the hydrological cycle. Accordingly, the objective of present study was to evaluate the effective precipitation, runoff, infiltration, soil mechanical resistance to penetration and the groundwater level in the Riacho Fundo watershade, Felixlandia-MG in Zanini's Forest area. The effective precipitation was calculated as the sum of the internal precipitation and stemflow. It was determined the rate of infiltration and infiltration rate of soil water in February 2011 in six plots in plots 35, 36, 39, 40, 42 and 44 using the ring infiltrometer. The soil resistance to penetration was achieved by using an impact penetrometer, in February 2011. The penetration resistance tests were also conducted in February 2011 in six plots in plots 35, 36, 37, 38, 39, 40, 42 and 44 with different types of clones, performing eight repetitions on each parcel on lines planting and between planting lines at intervals of 10 cm deep and reaching depths of up to 50 cm. The monitoring of groundwater level was conducted at four locations in topsequence where there were drilled four piezometric wells. During 2008, 2009 and 2010 there were monitored the effective precipitation, runoff and groundwater. The values of effective runoff ranged from runoff plots, probably due to the set of characteristics that each block has. It was observed that the soils of plots 35, 36, 39, 40, 42 and 44 showed very rapid infiltration rate according to the classification of the Soil Conservation Service of the United States. The superficial runoff of rain water was low and did not show 1 % compared to the effective precipitation, and showed little variation over the years 2008, 2009 and 2010. Despite the layers analyzed in plots 35, 36, 39, 40, 42 and 44 presented high values of mechanical resistance was found high infiltration rate and high capacity of water infiltration into the soil in these plots. The water table depth varied according to the hydric characteristics observed in each year and it was observed that there was groundwater recharge over the years 2008, 2009 and 2010.
