This research grew around male experiences inside of the house, in which we identified, described and analyzed the perceptions and popular values of 20 urban men of different social from the city of Fortaleza / Ceará. The study problematized the symbolic articulations produced by the cultural processes, that you/they end up giving a meaning, a common sense in common in the construction of discursive practices that you/they attribute the space of the house to the woman, leaving out of the domain domestic attitudes, behaviors and masculine actions concerning their existences and experiences in the dynamics of the house. The domestic space, known as predominantly as the woman's place, is endowed with values and norms different from of the public space, predominantly man's place. Both constitute spheres different from action, that hide tensions and collisions as essencializam spaces and papers. This perception is established by certain cultural dynamics for subject of differentiated sexes. We broke of the presupposition that the media has been emphasizing that the western men would be changing their attitudes and conceptions related to the daily life, acquiring new habits of larger participation inside of house. Being like this, could we affirm the men housekeepers' category to exist? Will it be that the men that execute domestic activities are constrained in the acting of such activities? In the mark of those discussions we adopted as methodological strategy the case study through a qualitative research of descriptive-analytical nature. With an approach to multidiscipline falling back upon the Anthropology and Sociology as theoretical anchorage, these concepts-manliness / gender / space domestic - it made possible, together with other theoretical arguments, to specify our optics in the sense of understanding the studied reality. The main characteristic of this study is the displacement of the glance, in other words, it was problematized the relationship house/man and their existences of the domestic. The result of the research left clear that cannot affirm to exist men housekeepers. It was evidenced that the men that possess a speech more politicized and articulate in a context of social activities they manifested as the subjects of the house. Such speeches were apparent in the men whose professions were harnessed her/it a field of the area of the humanities. Some men get to dilate the glance for the domestic space as being men's thing and women ; and that the domestic activities are important and necessary, most made clear that do the domestic work with naturalness . It was manifested that the biological nature of the subjects is authorized by the social nature and this way, men and women are going weaving their performances and identity. The gender creates and expressed a condition of difference and like this the subjects are going building, exalting and identifying what you/they will be their garments to demarcate who are for itself. In general, the arguments and the men's declarations are still loaded of moral and conservative values in what refers to the manliness and the domestic activities.
