Resumo: The purpose of this study was to determine the apparent total tract digestibility and the standardized total tract digestibility of different phosphates for barrows in growing phase. For the simultaneous evaluation of digestibility by total collection of feces method and fecal indicator method acid insoluble ash, were used 42 barrows commercial hybrids with average initial weight of 37 kg. The pigs were divided into experimental design of randomized blocks with seven treatments, with a reference diet (Rref), three diets containing powder phosphates (Pó A = powder dicalcium phosphate, Pó B = powder dicalcium phosphate B and Pó C = powder dicalcium phosphate C) and three diets containing grain dicalcium phosphates with 15, 45 and 75% of water solubility (Mc 15 = grain dicalcium phosphate 15% , Mc 45 = grain dicalcium phosphate 45% and Mc 75 = grain dicalcium phosphate 75%), six replicates and one pig as experimental unit. The weight of the pigs was adopted as a criterion in the formation of blocks. The reference diet (Rref) for testing digestibility of phosphorus (P) was made with ingredients containing low P content, and this diet contained 0.20% total P and 0.30% Ca, establishing a Ca: P 1.5:1. The diets were isoproteic with 170 g/Kg DM of Crude Protein (CP) and isocaloric with 3,341 kcal / kg of Digestible Energy DE). The treatments were formulated based on the values of total P and were isophosphoric with 0.45% of total P and isocalcium with 0.70% Ca, establishing a Ca: P ratio of 1.5:1. Treatments consisted of phosphates used in the experiment of P digestibility and were added to Rref diet, providing 0.25% of total P. The treatments were: FPA = Rref + powder phosphate A; FPB = Rref + powder phosphate B; FPC = Rref + powder phosphate C; FM15 = Rref + granular phosphate 15%; FM45 = Rref + granular phosphate 45% and FM75 = Rref + granular phosphate 75%. Values for standardized total tract digestibility of P were calculated by correcting apparent total tract digestibility values for basal endogenous losses. Was used as basal endogenous losses the value of 258 mg P / kg of dry matter intake. The standardized total tract digestibility of P in diets by total collection method was in %: Rref: 46,8; FPA: 62,4; FPB: 61,0; FPC: 60,6; FM15: 62,6; FM45: 67,3 and FM75: 67,8. The standardized total tract digestibility of P in diets by fecal indicator method with acid insoluble ash (AIA) as marker was: Rref: 44,4; FPA: 63,6; FPB: 58,3; FPC: 56,0; FM15: 67,8; FM45: 64,4 and FM75: 67,1. The STTD of P in different phosphates by total collection method was in %: Pó A = 86,9; Pó B = 84,9; Pó C = 81,9; Mc 15 = 89,4; Mc 45 = 88,8 e Mc 75 = 92,6. The STTD of P in different phosphates by fecal indicator method (AIA) was in %: Pó A = 75,9; Pó B = 75,4; Pó C = 75,6; Mc 15 = 84,9; Mc 45 = 78,0 e Mc 75 = 79,4. The values of standardized total tract digestibility of different phosphates evaluated showed differences between total collection method and fecal indicator method (AIA) but both can be used to determine the digestibility of this mineral in diets to swine.

The values of standardized total tract digestibility of different phosphates evaluated showed differences between total collection method and fecal indicator method (AIA) but both can be used to determine the digestibility of this mineral in diets to swine.O experimento foi realizado com o objetivo de avaliar a digestibilidade de fosfatos em pó e microgranulado em dietas para suínos selecionados geneticamente para deposição de carne magra na carcaça, na fase de crescimento, com a utilização de duas metodologias para avaliação da digestibilidade.
