Resumo: Performing more than one past the coffee harvester can increase the efficiency of harvest, minimizing the amount of outstanding coffee plants and the need for manual stripping. The manual stripping often more expensive production process and promote more damage to the plants in relation to mechanized harvest. However, one should know that the number of passes of the harvester is needed to fully harvest the fruits of coffee plants in crops that have different productive loads, notably the higher loads, because they are more difficult to be completely harvested. Therefore, the aim of this work was to evaluate types of mechanized harvesting, varying on the number of passes of the harvester in two coffee plantations. Two situations were compared: farming with intermediate load (50.78 coffee bags ben ha-1) and farming with high load (121,54 bags of coffee ben ha-1) in the Cerrado Mineiro region, using a passed from one to six KTR harvester. We evaluated the amount of falling coffee, remaining coffee, harvest coffee, harvesting efficiency, operation costs, damage in the plants and the productivity variability between two crops. Obtained so that the remaining amount of coffee plants is sufficient to dispense the manual stripping of is necessary passes two times the harvester in the intermediate load farming and three times in the high load farming. You can replace manual harvesting by mechanical harvesting using two operations until the harvester, regardless of the load of coffee, with no increase in the amount of damage to plants promoted and reduced productivity for the next harvest.
