Entretanto, poucas são as pesquisas que buscam analisar esta relação por meio da abordagem da perspectiva histórica das famílias. Assim, o presente ensaio teórico tem por objetivo discorrer sobre as categorias “famílias” e “envelhecimento” sobre a perspectiva histórica. O estudo descreve os conceitos tendo como base a revisão bibliográfica, a fim de compreender como estas relações se deram ao longo da história. Espera-se que o tema amplie o foco de análise da relação entre família e envelhecimento e auxilie novas pesquisas.Research on the relationship between family and aging and the impact of same on intergenerational relations have grown in recent years. There are several approaches and theoretical perspectives that attempt to explain the emotional and social relationship between these two areas and that focus on the mutually beneficial or harmful effects that family and aging can have on one another. However, there are few studies that seek to analyze this relationship by addressing the historical perspective of the families. Thus, this theoretical essay aims to discuss the categories "families" and "aging" of the historical perspective. The study describes the concepts based on the literature review in order to understand how these relations have throughout history.
