Leisure knowledge and practices: a work and health perspective

Resumo: Leisure should be part of the daily life of the population, as guaranteed by the Federal Constitution (Brazil, 1988), however, not everyone has access. It is a qualitative research with a focus group approach with eight participating professors. The main findings were that leisure time experiences should not be related to work, as leisure is the distance from obligations, it is physical and mental rest. Main experiences in leisure time are: bathing, traveling, watching movies, reading, physical exercise and listening to music. Leisure is fundamental to the teacher's health, as reports of illness are increasing in this population.

Se trata de una investigación cualitativa con enfoque de grupo focal con ocho profesores participantes. Los principales hallazgos fueron que las experiencias de tiempo libre no deben estar relacionadas con trabajo, ya que ocio es la distancia de las obligaciones, es descanso físico y mental. Las principales experiencias en tiempo libre son: bañarse, viajar, ver películas, leer, hacer ejercicio físico y escuchar música. El ócio es fundamental para la salud del docente, ya que los informes de enfermedades están aumentando en esta población.O lazer deve fazer parte do cotidiano da população, conforme garantido pela Constituição Federal (Brasil, 1988), porém, nem todos têm acesso. Trata-se de uma pesquisa qualitativa com abordagem em grupo focal com oito docentes participantes. Os principais achados foram que as vivências no tempo de lazer não devem se relacionar com o trabalho, pois o lazer é o distanciamento das obrigações, é o descanso físico e mental. Principais vivências no tempo de lazer são: banhos, viagens, filmes, leituras, exercícios físicos e ouvir músicas.
