Resumo: This article aims to highlight possibilities of criticism of the teaching of law in Brazil from the intellectual legacy of Paulo Freire and his epistemological perspective. Having as a reference the foundations of Freire's critical pedagogy, we intend to discuss how the notions of critical engagement, inconclusion of the human being and liberating praxis, contained in the work of Paulo Freire, can contribute to teaching, research and extension in the field of law and emancipatory struggles.
