Resumo: This article is the result of systematization of the analysis undertaken in the doctoral thesis “A snap in law schools: ideological perspectives of university students’ popular legal counsels “ (2015). In “Together with oppressed of the world: popular education of university students’ popular legal counsels” attempts to analyze the possibilities, contradictions and limitations of popular education activities, inspired by Paulo Freire, developed by university students’ popular legal counsels. Delimited the concept of “popular education” of these groups from their own reports about their practices, identifying some dilemmas of this action. The analyzes moves on the field of Marxist tradition, in dialogue with Paulo Freire’s ideas and important organic references to popular legal counsels.

Em “Junto aos esfarrapados do mundo: a educação popular da Assessoria Jurídica Popular”, busco problematizar as possibilidades, as contradições e as limitações das atividades de educação popular, inspiradas em Paulo Freire, desenvolvidas pelos grupos de assessoria jurídica universitária popular (AJUP). Delimito a concepção de “educação popular” destes grupos a partir de relatos deles próprios sobre suas práticas, identificando alguns dilemas desta atuação.
