Resumo: In this article I present a proposal for a generational reading of the coloniality of power and its implications for the living conditions and rights of children and young people. The research is carried out through the bibliographical research method. I start from the conceptual delimitation of coloniality, in order to establish the theoretical bases and its social implications in the Latin American continent, in addition to problematizing the place of the generational field in the colonial matrix of power. Subsequently, advances in understanding the connections between race and generation, in articulation with the gender dimension, in order to propose a detailed analysis of the colonial discourse of the minority of certain subjects. Then, I analyze practical issues of connection between race, gender, class, and generation, trying to present the effects of the colonial discourse on the living conditions of children, young people and women. Finally, I address the conceptualization of decoloniality and interculturality, and the contributions of these theoretical-conceptual tools to the reconfiguration of living conditions and rights of children and young people.

En este artículo presento una propuesta de lectura generacional sobre la colonialidad del poder y sus implicaciones en las condiciones de vida y derechos de niños, niñas y jóvenes. La investigación se lleva a cabo a través del método de investigación bibliográfica. Parto de la delimitación conceptual de la colonialidad, con el fin de establecer las bases teóricas y sus implicaciones sociales en el continente latinoamericano, además de problematizar el lugar del campo generacional en la matriz colonial del poder. Posteriormente, se avanza en la comprensión de las conexiones entre raza y generación, en articulación con la dimensión de género, para proponer un análisis detallado del discurso colonial de la minoría de determinados sujetos. Luego, analizo cuestiones prácticas de conexión entre raza, género, clase y generación, tratando de presentar los efectos del discurso colonial en las condiciones de vida de niños, jóvenes y mujeres. Finalmente, abordo la conceptualización de la decolonialidad y la interculturalidad, y los aportes de estas herramientas teórico-conceptuales a la reconfiguración de las condiciones de vida y derechos de niños, niñas y jóvenes. Neste artigo apresento uma proposta de leitura geracional da colonialidade do poder e suas implicações para as condições de vida e os direitos de crianças e jovens. A pesquisa é realizada por meio do método de pesquisa bibliográfica. Parto da delimitação conceitual da colonialidade, a fim de estabelecer as bases teóricas e suas implicações sociais no continente latino-americano, além de problematizar o lugar do campo geracional na matriz colonial do poder. Posteriormente, avanço no entendimento das conexões entre raça e geração, em articulação a dimensão de gênero, de modo a propor uma análise detida do discurso colonial da menoridade de determinados sujeitos. Em seguida, analiso questões práticas de conexão entre raça, gênero, classe e geração, procurando apresentar os efeitos do discurso colonial nas condições de vida de crianças, jovens e mulheres. Por fim, abordo a conceituação de decolonialidade e interculturalidade, e as contribuições dessas ferramentas teórico-conceituais para a reconfiguração das condições de vida e dos direitos de crianças e jovens.
