Resumo: | This theoretical-conceptual article aims to discuss the issue of mental health promotion in children, presenting the relationship between this field and play and cultural experiences. The history of children's and adolescents' mental health will also be a topic of discussion in this work, as well as the problematization of childhood conceptions that underlie care practices. We propose the construction of a praxis that is based on a political and ethical project where the dimensions of diversity and plurality are respected, in the same way, that the need to play and cultural experiences for the child and youth population is recognized. Therefore, we discuss the power of play, art and culture to be a vector of subjective and social transformation. |

Este artículo teórico-conceptual tiene como objetivo discutir la cuestión de la promoción de la salud mental en los niños, presentando la relación entre ese campo y las experiencias lúdicas y culturales. La historia de la salud mental de niños y adolescentes también será tema de discusión en este trabajo, así como la problematización de las concepciones de infancia que subyacen en las prácticas de cuidado. Proponemos la construcción de una praxis basada en un proyecto político y ético en el que se respeten las dimensiones de diversidad y pluralidad; del mismo modo, que se reconoce la necesidad de experiencias lúdicas y culturales para la población infantil y juvenil. Por ello, discutimos el poder del juego, el arte y la cultura como vector de transformación subjetiva y social. Este artigo de natureza teórico-conceitual visa discutir o tema da promoção de saúde mental de crianças, apresentando a relação desse campo com o brincar e as experiências culturais. A história da saúde mental de crianças e adolescentes também será tópico de discussão neste trabalho, assim como a problematização sobre as concepções de infância que embasam as práticas de cuidado. Propomos a construção de uma práxis que seja pautada em um projeto político e ético no qual as dimensões de diversidade e pluralidade sejam respeitadas; da mesma maneira, que a necessidade do brincar e das experiências culturais para a população infantojuvenil seja reconhecida. Portanto, discutimos a potência do brincar, da arte e da cultura para ser vetor de transformação subjetiva e social.
