Resumo: | The main purpose of this article is to present the extension of ecosystemic linguistics known as critical ecosystemic linguistics or ecological discourse analysis (EDA). It is compared to traditional ecolinguistics, such as critical ecolinguistics, to French discourse analysis, to British critical discourse analysis, as well as to positive discourse analysis. All these versions of DA look for ideology (Marxist, feminist etc.) and power relations in the texts under analysis. EDA emphasizes a defense of life and a struggle against everything that may cause suffering to a living being. If ideology is unavoidable, that it be the ideology of life or ecological ideology (ecoideology). It may use all ecological categories, such as interaction, diversity, adaptation, holism, openness/porosity, harmonic and disharmonic relations etc. It is influenced by deep ecology, Taoism and Gandhian ideas. It is prescriptive in relation to these principles, and to anthropocentrism, ethnocentrism, androcentrism etc. Being ecosystemic, it defends the integrity of small ethnic groups, acting from an ecological view of the world (from an ecological view of the world), not from a logical point of view, as is done in the West. It is able to analyze any type of text, not only environmental, anti-environmental nor pseudo-environmental texts. There is a short attempt at analyzing a small scientific text. |

It is able to analyze any type of text, not only environmental, anti-environmental nor pseudo-environmental texts. There is a short attempt at analyzing a small scientific text.
