Redesign toys: an approach from the Emotional Design

Resumo: The act of playing is inherent to the human being in the stage of childhood. During this playful moment comes the creation of games and toys provided by the human imagination process and is part of the cultural construction development. In this context, this study aimed to develop a projetual exercise from the redesign of the toy "Engineer" of Xalingocompany, taking as a starting point the principles of emotional design. From assumptions of emotional design and requirements for age were designed new proposals for the toy in question. The toy redesign resulted in a more suitable product aesthetically and symbolically for the age group to which it was designed.

Durante esse momento lúdico surge a criação de brincadeiras e brinquedos proporcionados pelo processo de imaginação humana e que faz parte do desenvolvimento de construção cultural. Neste contexto, esse trabalho teve como objetivo o desenvolvimento de um exercício projetual a partir do redesenho do brinquedo “Engenheiro” da empresa Xalingo, tendo como ponto de partida os princípios do design emocional. A partir de pressupostos do design emocional e prescrições para faixa etária projetaram-se novas propostas para o brinquedo em questão.
