Resumo: | This article analyzes the application of the concept of “precedent” in Brazilian Law. The objective of the work is to reflect on the polysemy inherent to this word and, especially, the doctrinal uncertainty about what would be a precedent in our country. The proposed study will have as its core the analysis of some of the doctrinal productions on the subject, aiming to understand the positions exposed in them and to compare the vision of each author regarding different dimensions of the notion of precedents. |

O objetivo do trabalho é refletir sobre a polissemia inerente a essa palavra e, especialmente, a incerteza doutrinária a respeito do que seria um precedente no nosso país. O estudo proposto terá como cerne a análise de algumas das produções doutrinárias de fôlego sobre o tema, visando a compreender os posicionamentos nelas expostos e a comparar a visão de cada autor a respeito de diversas dimensões da noção de precedentes.
