Inovação em turismo e eventos:: uma análise bibliométrica

For an understanding of the development of the knowledge of a certain phenomenon, it is used to investigations on the scientific communication that talk about the advances in the area of ”‹”‹interest. Thus, the present article aims to analyze the research developed on Innovation in Tourism and Events, carrying out a bibliometric study of the publications about the theme. The methodology used was predominantly descriptive, acting simultaneously in the qualitative and quantitative fields. The results show that the topic of Innovation in Tourism and Events is discussed for almost two decades, but only in the last years it is analyzed more hard. Some journals are more committed to the topic, the minority with more recent publications and still few specifically deal with innovation in a given event. It is concluded that, due to the relevance of the theme, it is suggested to the scientific community to carry out more complex studies and more frequently addressing the theme of Innovation in Tourism and Events.
