Resumo: The analysis of social networks applied to scientific production can contribute to the understanding of the evolution of knowledge and favor interpretation. The field of interest of scientific production is the efficiency of public health. The objective of the article is to analyze the social networks of scientific production in public health efficiency. The study was carried out through a systematic literature review and analysis of social networks of scientific production. The results showed that the discussion about the efficiency of public health is not a recent topic and has been following the evolution of health systems. The prominent authors were Cooper, Charnes, Ozcan, Hollingswort, Rhodes, Banker and Fare, considered intermediate authors in the research field. The discussion along the theme was accompanied by the discussion of the efficiency analysis mechanisms, which also evolved over time. It can be understood that efficiency can be the way to optimize resources in order to better meet the needs of the population.

El campo de interés de la producción científica es la eficiencia de la salud pública. El objetivo del artículo es analizar las redes sociales de producción científica en eficiencia en salud pública. El estudio se realizó a través de una revisión sistemática de literatura y análisis de redes sociales de producción científica. Los resultados mostraron que la discusión sobre la eficiencia de la salud pública no es un tema reciente y viene acompañando la evolución de los sistemas de salud. Los autores destacados fueron Cooper, Charnes, Ozcan, Hollingswort, Rhodes, Banker y Fare, considerados autores intermedios en el campo de la investigación. La discusión a lo largo del tema fue acompañada por la discusión de los mecanismos de análisis de eficiencia, que también evolucionaron con el tiempo. Se puede entender que la eficiencia puede ser la forma de optimizar los recursos para atender mejor las necesidades de la población.A análise de redes sociais aplicada a produção cientifica pode colaborar para o entendimento da evolução do conhecimento e favorecer a interpretação. O campo de interesse da produção cientifica é a eficiência da saúde pública. O objetivo do artigo é analisar as redes sociais da produção cientifica em eficiência da saúde pública. O estudo foi realizado por meio da revisão sistemática de literatura e a análise das redes sociais da produção científica. Os resultados evidenciaram que a discussão sobre a eficiência da saúde pública não é um tema recente e vem acompanhando a própria evolução dos sistemas de saúde. Os autores de destaque foram Cooper, Charnes, Ozcan, Hollingswort, Rhodes, Banker e Fare, considerados autores intermediários do campo de pesquisa. A discussão ao longo do tema foi acompanhada pela discussão dos mecanismos de análise da eficiência, que também evoluíram ao longo do tempo.
