Resumo: The use of the fear of death as an instrument of manipulation leads to issues related to the liberty of dying, such as euthanasia and suicide. This study will address the concepts of fear in Aristotle and Heidegger and the concept of fobia in Freud, further analyzing them as manipulation devices. As a final result we intend to achieve a discussion about the fear of dying and an investigation about the desire of manipulation of death as afatality or a promise of heaven. At last, an inicial rupture of thetaboos that configure the matter of euthanasia and suicide as acts of deliverance.

Neste estudo, serão abordados os conceitos de medo em Aristóteles e Heidegger e o conceito de fobia em Freud, para então analisá-los comodispositivos de manipulação. Pretende-se obter como resultadofinal uma reflexão acerca do medo de morrer e uma investigação sobre o desejo de manipulação da morte comofatalidade ou promessa de paraíso.
