Heritage and master plan: perspectives for historical heritage in Anápolis/GO

This article discusses the patrimonial policy in Anápolis-GO, a medium city located between Goiânia and Brasília. Historically, there is little recognition of its historic buildings value and, after 114 years of existence, the city has only twelve listed buildings and a trajectory of destruction of its architectural collection. We investigate the municipal power’s proposal, through the Master Plan, to the city's historical heritage. For assessment, we chose “Vila Industrial”, a neighbourhood which has a set of historic buildings linked to the railway and industry. Through documentary research, with a historical and bibliographic survey, we made an analysis of the 2006 Master Plan of Anápolis (revised in 2016). Thereby, it is possible to observe a weakness in the preservation of the city's heritage, once the measures proposed by the current Master Plan do not address the historic buildings satisfactorily.
