A proposta de uma educação na e para a diversidade, que contemple as necessidades educacionais especiais, o que inclui as Altas Habilidades/Superdotação, tem se mostrado pouco desenvolvida e/ou preparada para acolher e lidar com esse público. Nesse contexto de dúvidas e incertezas, vivenciados, é que se propôs esta pesquisa. A partir da minha experiência com uma criança com Altas Habilidades/Superdotação, busca-se compreender o processo de inclusão social; identificar suas características; reconhecer as possíveis repercussões da história de vida familiar e escolar, além de investigar e discutir o Programa de Atendimento ao Superdotado da Secretaria de Estado de Educação do Distrito Federal. Para tanto a leitura de obras sobre o tema mediou e sustentou teoricamente todas as discussões tecidas, possibilitando a compreensão e (re)construção de um entendimento sobre esse fenômeno. O tema da pesquisa foi vivenciado por mais de uma década, e envolveu dois elementos sociais: família e escola. Assim, o estudo descreve a trajetória e os principais acontecimentos de nosso personagem principal – Victor Hugo – desde seu nascimento até o dia de hoje, um percurso de 13 anos e questiona as concepções de normal e patológico, do diferente, identifica e discute os conceitos e teorias, além de traçar um breve histórico da educação com foco nas Altas Habilidades. O trabalho sugere reflexões acerca das altas habilidades e um olhar individualizado no atendimento educacional. ________________________________________________________________________ ABSTRACTMyths assumptions about students Giftedness in the family and school environment has caused some labels and prejudices. The purpose of an education in and for the diversity, covering special educational needs, which includes the Giftedness, has proved undeveloped and/or prepared to accept and deal with these people. In this context of doubts and uncertainties experienced, it is proposed that this research. From my experience with a child Giftedness, we seek to understand the process of social inclusion; identify their characteristics; recognize the potential impact of the history of family and school life, and to investigate and discuss the Gifted Program Service of the State Department of Education of the Federal District. For both reading articles on the topic mediated sustained and theoretically all of the foregoing discussions, allowing us to understand and (re)construction of an understanding of this phenomenon. The theme of the research was experienced by more than a decade, and involved two social factors: family and school. Thus, the study describes the trajectory and the main events of our main character - Victor Hugo - from birth to the present day, a journey of 13 years and questions the concepts of normal and abnormal, the different, identifies and discusses the concepts and theories, and trace a brief history of education focusing on Giftedsess.
