Segundo Freud trabalhar é não apenas exercer atividades produtivas, mas também é conviver e viver junto dia a dia, reconhecendo o desempenho do outro. Sob o olhar da Psicodinâmica do Trabalho, abordagem usada nesta pesquisa, o trabalho é o engajamento do corpo físico e psíquico na organização do trabalho. É o espaço onde o homem cria e recria para sobreviver e para realizar-se, caracterizando-se como fonte de prazer e sofrimento, mobilizando o trabalhador na busca de saúde. Pela sua definição de trabalho com foco no sujeito, a Psicodinâmica do Trabalho nos possibilita enxergar a atividade policial como um trabalho e consequentemente, o policial como um trabalhador, um sujeito que sente, se afeta e sofre. Desta forma este trabalho tem como objetivo analisar o sofrimento de policiais civis de uma delegacia especializada e analisar a organização do trabalho na qual estão inseridos. De acordo com os resultados encontrados nesta pesquisa, podemos inferir que: a organização policial se caracteriza pela pesada carga de trabalho e sofrimento, justificando um desgaste físico e mental; existem diferentes formas de ser policial, em função dos diferentes segmentos de atividade policial e consequentemente, diferentes formas de sofrimento e de reconhecimento no trabalho; que as ações e condições de trabalho, influenciam diretamente na saúde do policial; que os mecanismos de defesa individuais tem se sobressaído em razão da falta de reconhecimento do trabalho do outro, enfraquecendo assim a cooperação e a confiança entre os pares. According to Freud to work is not only to exert productive activities, but also to coexist and live together every day, recognizing the erformance of the otherself. Under the gaze of the psychodynamics of work, which is the approach used in this research, work is the engagement of the physical and psychic body into the organization of the work. It is the space where man creates and recreates to survive and to be held, characterizing as a source of pleasure and pain, mobilizing workers in search of health. By its definition of work focusing on the subject, the psychodynamics of work allows us to see policing as a job and consequently the police as a worker, a guy who feels, suffers and affects. Thus this paper aims to analyze the suffering of civilians policemen in a police station and to analyze the specialized labor organization to which they belong. According to the results found in this study, we infer, that the police organization is characterized by heavy workload and suffering, justifying a physical and mental stress; that within the organization there are different ways of being a policeman, not restricted only to the final function; that because of these functions, we find different forms of suffering and recognition; that the actions and working conditions directly influence the health of the officers; that the mechanisms of individual defense has gone on because of the lack of recognition of the work of the other, thus weakening cooperation and trust among peers; the importance of recognizing the particularities of each feature, thus articulating a collective work.
