Assim, as condições de trabalho e o nível de satisfação são fundamentais para entender o processo saúde-doença e o desencadeamento de doenças relacionadas ao trabalho. Tendo em vista esse cenário, este trabalho tem como objetivo estimar as principais causas de óbito, entre policiais militares do Distrito Federal, e compara-las as causas de óbito entre profissionais de ensino e a população geral do Distrito Federal, no período de 2007 a 2013, assim como estimar os anos potenciais de vida perdidos (APVP) entre as populações. Dessa forma, foi conduzido um estudo ecológico transversal, e utilizado o indicador APVP a fim de mensurar os anos perdidos em razão das mortes prematuras. O resultado por grupo de causas, segundo capitulo da CID-10, demonstrou que as causas de óbito entre policiais militares e a população geral são semelhantes, sendo as doenças do aparelho circulatório, neoplasias e causas externas as principais causas, entretanto as causas entre os profissionais de ensino são diferentes das demais populações, apresentando menor proporção entre os óbitos por causas externas, e maior proporção por doenças do aparelho respiratório. As causas básicas expressam com maior proximidade a relação das causas com as características de cada profissão, considerando o perfil sóciodemográfico e a diferenças existentes entre as duas populações estudadas. A menor taxa de APVP encontrada foi entre os profissionais de ensino, 20,7 anos, seguidos da população geral, 22,6 nos e dos policiais militares, 23,8 anos, considerando-as similares. Porém ao observar os óbitos segundo faixa etária nas populações estudadas, nota-se maior vulnerabilidade em determinadas idades, onde se é possível identificar as diferenças particulares em cada população. __________________________________________________________________________ ABSTRACTThe work is a social determinant of health, and as such, it becomes one of those responsible for the individual and social well-being, and also for causes of illness and suffering, being subjective and intrinsic factor to the individual. Thus, the working conditions and the level of satisfaction are fundamental to understand the health-disease process and the triggering of work-related diseases. Considering this scenario, the research aimed to estimate the main causes of death, between military police of the Federal District , and compares them the causes of death among education professionals and the general population of the Federal District, in the period from 2007 to 2013, As well as to estimate the Years of Potential Life Lost (YPLL) between the populations. This way, was conducted a cross-sectional ecological study, and used the YPLL indicator in order to measure the years lost because of premature death. The result for group of causes, second chapter of ICD-10, demonstrated that the causes of death between military police and the general population are similar, being the circulatory diseases, neoplasms and external causes the main causes, however the causes between education professionals are different from other populations, showing smaller proportion of deaths by external causes, and higher ratio for respiratory diseases. The basic causes expressed with greater proximity to the relationship of the causes with the characteristics of each profession, considering the socio demographic profile and the differences between the two populations studied. The lower rate of YPLL was found among the professionals of education, 20,7 years, followed by the general population, 22,6 years, in and of the military police, 23,8 years, considering the similar.
