O turismo sendo um fenômeno que abrange variados âmbitos, especialmente o ambiental, não pode ignorar a circunstância que o rodeia. Este estudo teve como objetivo analisar o papel das mudanças climáticas na atividade turística no Brasil, verificando se existem pesquisas que evidenciam alterações ambientais, relacionadas com as mudanças climáticas, em destinações turísticas e como elas afetam a atividade. Essa pesquisa bibliográfica constatou que algumas localidades brasileiras têm sentido o impacto das mudanças do clima e que tanto no curto como no longo prazo vão afetar o desenvolvimento do turismo. As principais barreiras identificadas relacionam-se a construção e aplicação de políticas efetivas que protejam o meio ambiente, e que levem em consideração como o turismo pode ser atingido. Tourism being a phenomenon that encompasses various scopes, especially the environment, cannot ignore the circumstance that surrounds it. This study aimed to analyze the role of climate change on tourism activity in Brazil, checking if there are researches that show environmental changes, related to climate change, on tourist destinations and how they affect the activity. This bibliographic research found that some Brazilian localities have felt the impact of climate change and tourism development will be affected both short and long term. The main barriers identified relate to the construction and implementation of effective policies that protect the environment and take into account how tourism can be affected.
