Trata-se de um grupo de pesquisa acadêmica que tem como foco as representações sociais da juventude do Distrito Federal sobre diversos fenômenos sociais. O estudo foi realizado com a juventude inserida em escolas públicas de ensino médio do DF, tendo como objetivo principal apresentar as representações sociais da juventude sobre o ensino religioso. A base teórica é o pensamento de Émile Durkheim e teóricos sobre juventude e sobre o ensino religioso. A pesquisa tem como abordagem metodológica a pesquisa qualitativa. Utilizando o método hipotético-dedutivo que consiste em um procedimento que busca no espaço empírico comprovar ou não as hipóteses que norteiam a pesquisa para melhor compreender o fenômeno estudado. A hipótese central é de que a disciplina ensino religioso influencia na formação moral dos jovens, apesar de ter sido ministrada na infância. E como hipótese derivada que o ensino religioso é ministrado como disciplina de uma única religião na realidade escolar do Distrito Federal. Quanto aos instrumentos de pesquisa, foi empregada a técnica de grupo de discussão para entrevistar os jovens matriculados no ensino médio público. _____________________________________________________________________________ ABSTRACTThis monography is the sum of a research in the field of education and the course of Pedagogy from Faculdade de Educação. It was developed through the REJUGES group (Social Representation, Youth and Education Management) under tutoring of Professor Doctor Maria Zélia Borba Rocha. It is about an academical search group which has it focus on social youth representation in Distrito Federal over several social events. The study was done with teenagers in public high schools in DF and its main goal is show the social representations from youth into the Religious Study area. The theoretical basis is the thought of Émile Durkheim and some other professionals in the field of Youth and Religion. The study has as its methodological approach the quantitative search. Using the hypothetical-deductive method, which consists of seeking for proving or not the hypothesis that guide the search for a better understanding of the phenomenon studied. The main hypothesis is that the course of Religious Study influences the moral structure formation in teenagers, despite being taught in childhood, and as a generated hypothesis, is that Religious Study is taught as a subject of a single religion in public schools in Distrito Federal.
