Para tanto, explora-se no primeiro capítulo a relação aporética entre catástrofe, trauma e (impossibilidade da) representação de modo a compreendermos a memória do evento traumático enquanto uma busca de compromisso que impacta indivíduos e coletividades, ao passo que se discorre, também, quanto a possíveis diálogos entre literatura e história (compreendidas em seu caráter representacional do passado) como áreas do conhecimento distintas mas confluentes. No segundo capítulo aprofunda-se o dilema sobre como analisar, por meio de comissões da verdade, narrativas produzidas por vítimas, sobreviventes e testemunhas quanto a traumas que parecem desafiar as formas convencionais com que ordenamos (especialmente no direito) o tempo em passado, presente e futuro, destacando-se que a ideia do passado como ausente ou distante, ou de passado e presente como categoriais mutuamente excludentes, não parece dar conta da dimensão ética que enfeixa processos de transição histórico-legais: o passado não está morto, não passou, senão que assombra e perturba vítimas, sobreviventes e testemunhas. No terceiro capítulo, sem abrir mão do palco do jurídico, em realidade, estendendo-o até à cena do trauma, observa-se que a fragmentação da narrativa de vítimas, sobreviventes e testemunhas reflete, a nível de forma literária, a desarticulação primária entre o corpo – aprisionado, mutilado, evadido, vilipendiado – e a linguagem com que o representamos em sua falta, com que o narramos em face do seu desaparecimento, com que, enfim, testemunhamos o presente de nosso passado traumático recalcitrante justamente a partir do espectro de sua ausência: privação de corpos, mas também de relatos que os façam aparecer. For this purpose, we explore in the first chapter the aporetic relationship between catastrophe, trauma and (impossibility of) representation in order to understand the memory of the traumatic event as a search for commitment that impacts individuals and collectivities, as well as possible dialogues between literature and history (understood in their representational character of the past) as distinct but confluent areas of knowledge. In the second chapter, the dilemma of how to analyse, through truth commissions, narratives produced by victims, survivors and witnesses concerning traumas that seem to defy the conventional ways which we ordain (especially in law) time in the past, present and the future, emphasizing that the idea of the past as absent or distant, or of past and present as mutually excluding categories, it does not seem to account for the ethical dimension that frames historical-legal transition processes: the past is not dead, has not passed, but it haunts and disturbs victims, survivors and witnesses. In the third chapter, without giving up the legal stage, but extending it to the scene of the trauma, it is observed that the fragmentation of the narrative of victims, survivors and witnesses reflects, in a literary way, the primary disarticulation between the body – imprisoned, mutilated, evaded, vilified – and the language with which we represent it in its absence, with which we narrate it in the face of its disappearance, with which, finally, we witness the present of our traumatic and recalcitrant past precisely from the spectrum of their absence: deprivation of bodies, but also of reports that make them appear.
