Por isso, é essencial compreender as dificuldades inerentes ao trabalho realizado por esses agentes estatais, à luz dos princípios da celeridade e da qualidade. Nesse sentido, este estudo tem como objetivo identificar a percepção de magistrados brasileiros a respeito de como conciliar celeridade e qualidade na atividade judicante. Os dados foram coletados por meio de entrevistas com 15 (quinze) magistrados brasileiros, atuantes em diferentes Tribunais Superiores, situados em Brasília. Os resultados demonstram que os magistrados acreditam ser possível uma atuação jurisdicional rápida e de qualidade, mas para isso é necessário um trabalho conjunto entre os poderes Judiciário, Legislativo e Executivo. Além disso, os entrevistados creem que políticas internas dos próprios tribunais também podem contribuir para a conciliação entre celeridade e qualidade, principalmente, por meio de um sistema de controle interno dos atos judiciais, a fim de medir e quantificar o trabalho de cada magistrado. It is therefore essential to understand the difficulties inherent in the work carried out by these state agents in the light of the principles of speed and quality. In this sense, this study aims to identify the perception of Brazilian magistrates regarding how to conciliate celerity and quality in the judging activity. Data were collected through interviews with 15 (fifteen) Brazilian magistrates, who work in different Superior Courts, located in Brasília. The results show that magistrates believe that it is possible to have a speedy and high quality judicial procedure, but this requires working together between the Judiciary, Legislative and Executive branches. In addition, respondents believe that internal policies of the courts themselves can also contribute to the reconciliation of celerity and quality, mainly through a system of internal control of judicial acts, in order to measure and quantify the work of each magistrate.
