Quais são as relações entre o brincar, a aprendizagem escolar e o desenvolvimento da criança? Como a escola pode tirar mais proveito dessas relações na escolarização das crianças de primeiro ano? Na revisão teórica, discorre sobre o conceito histórico da educação e da infância, concepções do brincar, do brinquedo e do jogo. Destaca o fundamento social do desenvolvimento da criança, a emergência do pensamento simbólico e as dimensões sócio-afetivas da experiência escolar. Estabelece relações entre o brincar, como forma interativa na relação docente-criança e criança-criança, e os processos de aprendizagem como meio do desenvolvimento cognitivo e social. Objetiva investigar os sentidos do brincar no processo de escolarização de crianças do primeiro ano na perspectiva dos membros de uma comunidade escolar de Ensino Fundamental de anos inicias de Brasília, priorizando a perspectiva da criança sobre o seu processo. Desenvolveu uma metodologia diversificada, com base em observação participativa, aplicação de atividades lúdicas, questionário com a docente da turma e entrevista com quatro crianças do primeiro ano. Contou ainda, com a uma entrevista com uma funcionária da escola. Resultados sugerem que conteúdos que indiretamente incluem o brincar, confirmam que as crianças aprendem com mais facilidade e disposição, não percebendo que estão aprendendo. De acordo com o processo e a realidade da sala de aula, o brincar aperfeiçoa a educação e desenvolve possibilidades que permitam as crianças experimentar situações que interferem no ensino. Sinaliza ainda que é de extrema importância o(a) docente problematizador(a) mediando a relação entre ensino, aprendizagem e desenvolvimento por meio do brincar em sala de aula. ______________________________________________________________________________ ABSTRACTThis study addresses the issue concerning the relationship between children’s playing and school learning, based on the presupposition that playing has an important role to social, cognitive and affective development of children in early school age. What are the meanings of playing to the different school professionals from a low grades elementary public school? How does teaching can take advantage from children’s playing, especially among first graders? Literature review comprises an overview of education and childhood as historical and social constructed concepts. It includes a close attempt to the role of playing, toy and game. Emphasizes child development social grounding, symbolic thinking and language emergences and, socio-affective dimensions of school experiences. The study aims at investigating the meaning of playing among first graders and its relation to the schooling process within the perspective of all the members from a low elementary school community located in Brasilia, including the perspective of the child upon his/her own process. Empirical research comprised participant observation in a first grade classroom, a playful literacy activity, a questionnaire with the teacher, an interview a school staff, and individual interviews with four children that took part of the literacy activity. Results suggest that learning content that include a playful approach, children learn in a easy and involving way without explicitly realize they are learning. Playing improve education and leads to possibilities that enable children experiment new teaching and learning situations.
