O objetivo geral da pesquisa é apresentar e analisar a Provinha Brasil enquanto instrumento de avaliação da alfabetização, de forma a demonstrar seus pontos fortes e fracos. Como objetivos específicos têm-se: (1) apresentar um panorama sobre a alfabetização no Brasil e (2) analisar a Provinha Brasil enquanto instrumento de avaliação/aperfeiçoamento do processo de alfabetização das crianças brasileiras. Para tanto, adotou-se como marco referencial documentos de UNESCO (2007), CEALE (2008), BRASIL (2007-2012), IPM (2012), entre outros. Também se encontram citados nessa pesquisa autores como SOARES (1998 e 2008), ESTEBAN (2009), MELLO (2009), CORRÊA e DORNELLES (2010), BORTONI-RICARDO ET AL (2010), COSTA (2011) e SCHNEIDER (2011). A pesquisa desenvolvida foi de caráter exploratório, realizada mediante análise documental. __________________________________________________________________________ ABSTRACTThis study characterized as a work of completion, and its title Provinha Brazil: the instrument, perspectives and analysis.The main objective of this search is to present and analyze the Provinha Brazil as a tool to review of literacy in order to demonstrate their strengths and weaknesses. The specific objectives are to: (1) provide an overview of literacy in Brazil and (2) analyze the Provinha Brazil as a tool for assessment / improvement of the literacy process of Brazilian children. For both, it was adopted as its reference documents UNESCO (2007), CEALE (2008), BRAZIL (2007-2012), IPM (2012), among others. Also in this research are cited as authors SOARES (1998 and 2008), Esteban (2009), Mello (2009), and CORRÊA DORNELLES (2010), BORTONI-RICARDO ET AL (2010), Costa (2011) and Schneider (2011).
